A STEPS course for students ages 9 - adult all about the American Bill Of Rights, the first 10 amendments to the Constitution.

If you are an American citizen, then the first ten articles in our Constitution, called The Bill of Rights, are your rights.  At a time when American's civil rights are being sorely tested, no information could be more important or valuable.  Here is a creative course built around a thorough understanding of the actual amendments, word for word.

The student investigates in detail the key points in each amendment, using a structured approach that demands thought, defined opinions and ideas.  The student investigates the different ways that our rights should be used and protected, based on what he has read and now understands.  Then, he looks at how the law is applied (or not applied), and what this all means to him today as a citizen of the United States.

Eighteen lessons filled with tough, thought-provoking questions awaits, which will help the student form their own ideas of our rights – what they are, and why they are so very important.

(THIS COURSE SHOULD NOT NEED TO BE DONE BY STUDENTS WHO HAVE DONE OUR STEP 4 AMERICAN CIVICS COURSE, UPPER SCHOOL HISTORY 7. IT WOULD LARGELY BE REDUNDANT.)
