Excerpted from our huge Step 4 American Civics course (for ages 11-adult), this course’s 46 full lesson plans dissect the Constitution. Every word and idea is examined. The history of each amendment is considered, so that a context is established as to why that amendment exists. The course also places the entire Constitution into the context of the student's life and world.  The Constitution is relevant, and should be experienced as such.

Using the unique techniques common to STEP 4 course, this investigation of the founding document of the United States defines all difficult or key terms before the student reads the materials, giving the student a better chance at full comprehension the first time the document is read.

The student is then challenged repeatedly to place the articles and amendments of the Constitution to work in his own life.

A must for students doing American studies.  Generally for STEP 4, ages 11-adult, though some younger students who read well could do it.

(THIS COURSE DOES NOT NEED TO BE DONE BY STUDENTS WHO HAVE DONE OUR STEP 4 AMERICAN CIVICS COURSE, STEP 4 HISTORY 7. IT WOULD LARGELY BE REDUNDANT.)
