Step 1 second semester science starts with this fun course, filled with photos and links to interesting films about water on Earth.
What is water? How is it different from solids and gases? How can water be turned into a solid or a gas? Ideas that 5-6 year-olds are rarely exposed to! But they see water every day...so shouldn't we be answering their questions about it?
What is an ocean? How is an ocean different from a sea or lake? How does water make life possible on Earth? What sort of animals live in and around water? What are whales and dolphins? How do they live? How about penguins, how they survive in a wasteland of frozen water? What are salmon? What are polar bears? How does our water world impact them?
The student investigates the world of life through its connection to our world of water. It’s all explained with hands-on experiences, and lots of photos and film to help the student see and touch and understand.
(Please note - not all links on the Internet stay "live." You may need to search for replacements. It will not be difficult to do, and will probably not be necessary.)
