I want to tell you a story of a child sleepover my son enjoyed with a friend last night. One of the conditions for the sleepover was to allow time for the Living Your Life lesson before bedtime. This lesson happened to be about talking behind someone else’s back.

During the do's, the three of us took turns talking behind the third person's back. A lively and imaginative interchange began in my son's mind as he thought of many situations where someone might talk behind someone's back and situations where he could put an end to it and how. We all took turns, two against one. Although my son's friend was given a number of opportunities to participate and was encouraged to do so, it was readily apparent that the thought processes of the two boys were very different. My son was thinking of many different scenarios where talking behinds someone else’s back might take place. His friend kept saying, I don't know.

It is times like these that I fully realize what homeschooling combined with your curriculum had done for my child. Alex can really think and form his own opinions. Your Living Your Life curriculum takes my child well beyond the typical education of reading writing and arithmetic. My son can think and pursue his dreams. Thank you very much for giving me the tools to REALLY educate my son!

Our experience is from Things not to do and How not to do them. All of the lessons are good, but as I have told my son, some parents wish that they only taught their children how to avoid drug abuse. As usual, the lessons help a child to understand the reasons and to find their own opinions on the subject. I love your theme of using time in beneficial ways.
